Oooouuu Weeeeeeee
I read the other day about this Japanese word “Wu-Wei” the art of effortless action. Sounds like oouu weeee to me. Like when you walk out the house and you ain’t did a damn thing but brush your teeth, but somebody catches your eye and says ooooo weeee and you’re like, “who me?” I got fussed at yesterday for not doing enough to market and promote and at first I was irritated like MF do you see how much ish I manage, but then I thought about wu wei and how many people just don’t get it, that there’s a lot of effort in letting go of seeking attention and being heard and having an opinion. I’m just wu-wei’ing my way into amazing experiences. Like the @wilderphilly dinner where all I have to do is show up. I don’t have to cook or clean a thing—I can simply eat. Who knew by writing a book, I could live this oouu weee for the rest of my days if I please? Plus I get to chat with @saramlomax who because of her efforts (not my own) I’ve had the honor to interview several literary icons. The convo will broadcast on @onwurd it will be shared with thousands of listeners—no thanks to me. I heard a few of my fav folks got tickets before they sold out like @ironmaydee @bizecky @clairefication @pip.jfkliving @carrie_not_carolyn but who knows who else will be there because I am enjoying the doing nothingness of this experience and simply allowing life to be. No heavy marketing push for me, but thankful @phillyvoice did all the promo work for me. Oooouuu weeeeee!
